Carey Olsen partner selected for World Services Group North America & Caribbean Regional Council

Carey Olsen is pleased to announce that Cayman Islands corporate and finance partner Richard Munden has been selected to serve on the World Services Group ("WSG") North America & Caribbean Regional Council for 2026-2027.

The WSG North America & Caribbean Regional Council brings together leaders from member firms across the region to facilitate collaboration, identify opportunities for engagement, provide regional perspectives to WSG leadership and support the continued growth of the network.

The Council will be chaired by Amman Gangji, partner at Lawson Lundell, and will include fellow members Michael Cohen, shareholder at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt; Jeffrey Patton, member at Spilman Thomas & Battle; and Julie Simeone, partner at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler.

Based in Carey Olsen's Cayman Islands office since 2018, Richard advises clients on corporate and finance transactions, with particular expertise in asset and fund finance. He also works for a wide range of clients in the digital assets, DeFi and blockchain sector, and advises on cross-border transactions, debt capital markets transactions, domestic projects and joint venture and shareholder arrangements.

Richard's WSG appointment follows the news that Carey Olsen Bermuda partner Steven Rees Davies was made Regional Lead for the WSG Fintech Law Practice Group in the Caribbean earlier this year.

Richard Munden commented: "I'm honoured to represent Carey Olsen on the WSG North America & Caribbean Regional Council. WSG provides an excellent platform for building relationships and sharing expertise across jurisdictions, and I look forward to working alongside fellow council members to strengthen collaboration across the region and contribute to the continued growth of the organisation."
