Robert Quinn is a senior associate in the Trusts and Private Wealth team in the Cayman Islands. Rob advises a wide variety of clients in respect of all aspects of trust planning and administration in the Cayman Islands. His practice includes advising on complex cross-border planning and trust and estate restructuring exercises, as well as family office design and implementation. Robert also assists in semi-contentious trust and estate matters, advising on remedies for trust administration errors and liabilities, and with the corporate structuring elements of trust-adjacent projects for UHNW and institutional clients. Robert provides practical and focused advice on all aspects of private client practice and is also trusted advisor to the directors and in-house counsel of many leading banks and trust companies.

Career

Robert was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in Ontario in 2014. He practised in Guernsey with Carey Olsen from 2016 until 2019 and spent two years as the in-house legal counsel of a listed global trust and corporate services provider before returning to Carey Olsen in 2022. Robert moved to the Cayman office in 2023. He is a member of STEP and was named one of eprivateclient's Top 35 Under 35 in both the UK and the Channel Islands for 2018, and was awarded the STEP 2016 Student of the Year award for the Offshore Trusts Law, Creation and Practice module of the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.
