Carey Olsen backs launch of The Fund Foundry in Guernsey to support Europe's next generation of fund managers

Carey Olsen is supporting the launch of The Fund Foundry – a Guernsey-based initiative designed to support first-time and emerging fund managers across Europe and all asset class.

Launched by Foundry Partners LBG and unveiled at the 2026 Guernsey Funds Forum, the annual programme brings a specially-selected cohort of five fund managers to market, selected from a competitive shortlist of twenty. Applications to the programme open in July, with the inaugural cohort due to begin the programme from November.

The programme provides participating managers with a structured support package, including financial grants and technical assistance. Managers will take advantage of Guernsey's fast-track registration regime, the Private Investment Fund (PIF), permitting them to take their funds to market in a matter of days.

Alongside support from industry partners across law, administration, audit, banking and technology, the programme has secured backing from key Guernsey industry bodies and the States of Guernsey Committee for Economic Development.

Carey Olsen Guernsey investment funds partner, Andrew Tually, commented: “We are proud to be a founding sponsor of The Fund Foundry, which represents an important step forward in strengthening Guernsey’s position as a leading jurisdiction for funds and innovation. By supporting first-time and emerging managers with the right, structured assistance from the outset, we help remove barriers to entry and enable high-quality new strategies to come to market."
