Harry is a senior associate in Carey Olsen's corporate and finance practice, based in London.
Harry advises on both BVI and Cayman corporate, banking and finance, igaming, digital asset, fintech and regulatory matters.
Harry is admitted as a solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (BVI), England and Wales, and South Africa.
Career
Harry trained and qualified with Christelis & Artemides in Johannesburg and worked at TLT LLP before joining Carey Olsen in 2021. He attended the University of Witwatersrand for his LL.B after obtaining a B.Soc.Sci from the University of Cape Town.
Relevant experience
- Advised Carlyle on the BVI and Cayman aspects of the financing of Suntera Global.
- Advised Ares on a US$100 million NAV financing to Patrimium, a Dubai Multi-Family Office.
- Advised 21Shares on a complex cross border merger between the FalconX Cayman vehicle and 21co Holdings Limited.
- Advised CoinMENA, a leading crypto exchange in the Middle East, on its US$240 million acquisition by Paribu.
- Advised on the launch of the Starboard Sygnum BTC Alpha Fund, a Cayman Islands domiciled hedge fund designed to offer an innovative investment pathway within the digital assets sector.
- Advised on structuring of the private equity fund Frachtis through a Cayman partnership vehicle.
