Carey Olsen strengthens Guernsey employment practice with appointment of associate Louise Stothard
Carey Olsen has further expanded its employment law capabilities in Guernsey with the appointment of Louise Stothard as an associate in the firm’s dispute resolution and litigation team.
Louise specialises in employment law and advises on the full spectrum of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters, including data protection, population management, and immigration. Her experience spans both private practice and in‑house roles, giving her a valuable commercial understanding of the employment landscape.
Louise was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2011. Before joining Carey Olsen, she practised across all areas of employment law at Nabarro LLP and later moved into an in‑house legal director position. In that role, she advised on employment and commercial matters across the full employee lifecycle, bringing practical insight and strategic perspective to business‑critical issues.
Carly Parrott, head of employment and counsel at Carey Olsen, said: "We are delighted to welcome Louise to the team. Her blend of private practice and in-house experience gives her a well‑rounded and commercially focused approach that will be hugely valuable to our clients. Louise’s expertise in both contentious and advisory employment matters strengthens our market leading offering in Guernsey, and we are excited to have her on board.”
