Carey Olsen appoints David Chan as Senior Legal Manager in Hong Kong

Pending Hong Kong Law Society registration, David's role will transition to Counsel.

David brings broad experience across a wide range of corporate matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and privatisations, initial public offerings and securities issues, pre‑IPO restructuring and secondary fund raisings, as well as general commercial and compliance matters. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen in 2026, David was a Managing Associate in the corporate practice of Stephenson Harwood in Hong Kong. He has also held roles in the corporate practices of Dechert, Slaughter and May and Reed Smith Richards Butler in Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2017 (non‑practising).
