Carey Olsen partners named among best offshore lawyers by Asian Legal Business
Carey Olsen partners James Noble and Jeremy Lightfoot have been listed in the Asian Legal Business (ALB) Offshore Client Choice List for 2022.
To compile this year's list, the highly-repected legal publication conducted thorough research with the clients of offshore law firms in order to identify the 15 outstanding offshore lawyers operating in the Asia market. Those named were selected for their stellar client recommendations, unparalleled service and consistency in exceeding client expectations.
James is head of Carey Olsen's litigation, insolvency and restructuring practice in Asia and has been named in the Offshore Client Choice List for the second consecutive year. Within this year's commentary James has been commended as 'an excellent lawyer who remains highly responsive and pragmatic in the most challenging circumstances' as well as being 'deeply experienced in offshore disputes, able to provide quick advice, and very astute on strategy'.
Jeremy is head of the Hong Kong SAR dispute resolution and litigation practice and has been praised by a client in the commentary for being 'one of the most professional lawyers I've ever worked with'. Jeremy is also complimented for his 'excellent knowledge of the law' and how he 'anticipates what the next moves of the opponents will be, thus he can guide us properly and bring successful results to our clients'.
James and Jeremy said of their accolade: "We are honoured to have been featured among this prestigious list of lawyers and to be recognised by our clients for our service and support. We are delighted that both of Carey Olsen's Asia offices have received recognition – a glowing testament to the strength of our teams in these jurisdictions."
This recognition follows the recent inclusion of Carey Olsen partners Anthony McKenzie, Michael Padarin, James Noble and Michael Hanson in Asia Business Law Journal's Top 50 Offshore Lawyers 2022, as well as the firm's recent Tier One listing in The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific rankings.
