Carey Olsen advises Guernsey Recycling as it expands its green credentials

Carey Olsen advised Guernsey Recycling on its acquisition of Island Waste, which is now established as the Guernsey Recycling Group.

Guernsey Recycling (1996) Limited is a locally owned and managed private company, whose core business focuses on high-tech processing and recycling in the island. It already processes a significant amount of waste in Guernsey and this new acquisition will lead to further expansion and diversification.

Bailiwick Investments Limited also made a significant investment into the venture and owns a percentage stake in the enlarged group. The local fund invests in local businesses and already owns shares in Jacksons CI Group, the Channel Islands Securities Exchange, Jersey Electricity, Jersey Water and aviation company ASG Group. It has made the investment alongside a number of clients of investment manager Ravenscroft Limited.

The team was led by senior associate Tony Lane.
