Carey Olsen advises Jacobs Capital on its investment in Highvern and combination with Permian

Carey Olsen has advised Jacobs Capital on the combination of Highvern and Permian to create a leading international funds and private capital services provider.

Highvern, a leading provider of bespoke solutions in fund services and private capital in five jurisdictions, and Permian, the leading fund services provider for alternative investment funds in the Nordic region, are leaders in their respective markets. The Permian and Highvern brands are long-established and have built strong reputations for service quality and the strength of their client relationships.

Together, Permian and Highvern operate in seven jurisdictions with over 300 employees and plan for further accelerated organic growth, as well as further expansion into new strategic markets. Existing shareholders have reinvested alongside both senior management teams.

The Carey Olsen team was led by Jersey corporate partner David Taylor, and comprised specialists from the corporate, debt finance, trusts and private wealth, real estate, employment and regulatory teams in Jersey, Guernsey and the Cayman Islands, including partners Alexa Saunders, William Grace, Will Whitehead, Huw Thomas, Tom Carey, Trevor McCabe and Bernadette Carey.

The transaction team, working alongside lead legal advisers Linklaters, also included Steve Le Cornu, David Patterson, Calum Hedley, Damilola Obafemi, Bethany Massey, Sarah Farrow, Stephen Fitzgerald, Oliver Lindop, Mike Kushner, Tarina Le Boutillier, Melissa Wilkins, Evan Stitt and Nicola D'Amico.
