Carey Olsen advises RLAM in acquisition by Ravenscroft

Lawyers from Carey Olsen in Guernsey have advised investment management company Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) on the sale of its Guernsey businesses to Ravenscroft.

The deal, which is subject to approval by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, sees Ravenscroft acquire Royal London Asset Management CI Limited and Royal London Custody Services CI Limited. All five RLAM employees will move across to Ravenscroft as soon as the sale is completed. The two companies will also be rebranded as Ravenscroft.

Working alongside onshore counsel Pinsent Masons, Carey Olsen advised on all Guernsey elements of the transaction, including corporate, regulatory, property, employment, competition and contractual due diligence, as well as providing strategic input into the structuring of the deal.

The Carey Olsen team advising RLAM included partner Tom Carey and associates Colin Calvert and Kristina Mikhaylova from the corporate practice, partner Jason Morgan and senior associate Rachel Jones from the property team and counsel Carly Parrott from the firm's employment practice.
