Carey Olsen continues strong performance in Legal 500 Asia rankings
Carey Olsen has reinforced its position as one of Asia’s leading offshore law firms with strong results in the latest Legal 500 Asia Pacific Guide, achieving recognition across both its Singapore and Hong Kong offices.
The firm’s Singapore practice has once again been ranked Tier 1, maintaining its top tier streak since the inception of the Offshore category in the Singapore edition of the guide. The practice also has more of its lawyers recognised than any other offshore firm in the same category. Managing partner Anthony McKenzie, Asia litigation head James Noble and Singapore head of funds Tom Katsaros have all retained their positions as Leading Partners, reflecting their continued leadership in the market. Helen Wang has maintained her ranking as a Next Generation Partner, while counsel Kate Lan and Amelia Tan continue to be recognised as Leading Associates and are the only lawyers recognised in this category, underscoring the depth of talent within the team.
In addition to its leading firm and individual rankings, Legal 500 has also recognised Carey Olsen Singapore with Client Satisfaction accolades for both 'Billing and Efficiency' and 'Sector Knowledge'. This recognition is given to the top 30% of firms only, based on client surveys measuring the legal service they receive from law firms over a four-year period.
Carey Olsen’s Hong Kong team has also maintained its strong rankings, with Jeremy Lightfoot and Michael Padarin once again recognised as Leading Partners. Matthew Watson has received a new ranking as Next Generation Partner in this year's guide. Head of Hong Kong Litigation Tim Haynes has been recommended by Legal 500 as an offshore litigator since 2016 and is once again identified as a Leading Partner, earning praise from his clients for his "prompt and comprehensive advice".
These results highlight Carey Olsen’s commitment to delivering exceptional client service and technical excellence across Asia’s key legal markets. The firm remains one of the largest offshore law firms in the region, with significant offices in Singapore and Hong Kong.
