Recognition for Carey Olsen's Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands teams in The Legal 500
16 lawyers across Carey Olsen's Bermuda, British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Cayman Islands offices have been individually recognised in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500 Caribbean. In addition, the firm was also ranked in 16 practice areas demonstrating Carey Olsen's strength and depth of knowledge across its network of offices in Bermuda and the Caribbean.
Carey Olsen Bermuda Limited is now ranked Tier 1 for both dispute resolution and trusts/ private client. The firm has also retained its Tier 2 rankings in all other practice areas: banking, finance and capital markets; corporate and commercial; insurance/reinsurance; and regulatory and compliance. Highlights from Carey Olsen Bermuda's client feedback included praise for being an "exceptional firm" where "client service is superb at all levels."
In the BVI, Carey Olsen was ranked in banking, finance and capital markets, corporate and commercial, dispute resolution and regulatory and compliance. The firm's BVI dispute resolution team in particular has been noted as "impressively high-quality and experienced" with an "excellent commercial approach". Carey Olsen's Cayman Islands team improved its ranking in investment funds and retained its five other rankings.
