Carey Olsen advises Howden on acquisition of Polygon Insurance Brokers Limited

Carey Olsen has advised global insurance intermediary group Howden on its acquisition of Polygon Insurance Brokers Limited ("PIBL"), strengthening Howden's ability to service clients in Jersey and Guernsey.

Formerly known as Vantage Insurance Brokers, PIBL is a retail insurance broker based in the Channel Islands that provides insurance solutions tailored to the offshore financial services sector, high net worth individuals, family offices and trust companies operating in Jersey and Guernsey. The business specialises in professional indemnity and financial institutions insurance, D&O and cyber liability products.

This acquisition marks another step in Howden's strategy to grow the business in the Channel Islands for the benefit of its clients.

The Carey Olsen team was led by corporate partners David Taylor and Tom Carey, principally assisted by senior associates Steve Le Cornu and Colin Calvert. The team also included specialists from the firm's corporate, regulatory, employment, pensions and property teams in Jersey and Guernsey. Those advising comprised partners William Grace, Davey Le Marquand and Huw Thomas, counsel Julie Currie, Tarina Le Boutillier, Oliver Lindop and Carly Parrott, senior associates Rachel Jones, Sharon Mallet and Acsah Nel, and associates Nicola D'Amico, Emma Dorris, Bethany Massey, Daniellê Naseem and Thomas Wilmot-Josife.
